Truth be told: I never expected to be doing any of this. I got a degree in psychology, used to sing songs and strum my guitar for rent money, and mostly spent my 20s kicking around the northeast as an enormous waste of potential working anonymous office and restaurant jobs.
By 29, I had no career, no car, and no home. I spent my first three weeks employed at a prestigious Fortune 500 company sleeping in a rental Jeep at a Walmart parking lot. Turns out: that job would change everything.
On my 30th Birthday, I finally slept in a real bed, took a shower, went to work, and from then on I fell in love with storytelling.
I wrote millions of words elevating and evolving the voice of a brand now worth over $100B. I blogged about sports long enough and well enough to grab an SI byline.
Then I turned my life story into an unstoppable series of viral posts on Medium. I channeled my fiery passion into political messaging that helps fuel the modern progressive movement and helped build The Green New Deal. You know how people tell you “Don’t quit your day job?” Well, I did that, too. I quit the job that saved me from the streets in September 2019. To go rogue. To start my own business and master the business of being me.
Since then, I’ve written speeches for Senate candidates, scripts for awards shows, and copy for cannabis companies. I’m not a doctor, but I’ve played one in the OpEd section. All pretty unbelievable. All one helluva great story. And if you think I just made me sound interesting, imagine what I can do for you.
